Local Facilities and Information 

The Cliff End development of privately owned holiday homes and holiday bungalows with accommodation for rent has a management Site Office with a reception area to answer any enquires that you may have during your stay. This office is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday in the summer months with limited opening times during the rest of the year. TOURIST INFORMATION

The Tourist Information Centre on Yarmouth Quay has a large range of brochures, books, leaflets and postcards on the Island’s many attractions. Tel. 01983 813813.

PROVISIONS and BANKS

In Freshwater there are two supermarkets and an 'Open All Hours' Co-op mini-market.

There are also a few small family food shops, a main Post Office and four banks offering full branch services – Lloyds TSB, Nat West, Barclays and HSBC.

Freshwater is the largest village on the Island and most of the shops are family run businesses. As a consequence, they tend to close for lunch and before 5.30pm.

BEACH

The two nearest natural and unspoilt beaches are at Colwell Bay and Totland Bay. They can be accessed via the slipway which is only a few minutes walk from the Cliff End bungalow. They are sand and shingle beaches where it is safe to bathe. Both beaches have refreshments and toilets.

SWIMMING

There is a very good heated swimming pool at the nearby Freshwater Sports Centre, Tel. 01983 752168.
