The Isle of Wight and the Main Attractions

Many areas of the Isle of Wight, particularly in the South and West of the Island, are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (A.O.N.B.) so you are never far from breathtaking scenery and fascinating flora and fauna. The A.O.N.B. represents a variety of landscapes found on the Island from chalk downs to lush green pastures and includes a lot of the coastline and all of the Heritage Coast.

If you enjoy the great outdoors the Island has a network of over 500 miles of public rights of way - in fact there are more footpaths, public brideways and cycle ways than there are public roads. The Isle of Wight boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline with picturesque coves and broad beautiful bays of golden sand - 13 of which have Seaside Awards.
